locating the peices where more is laid to rest
and nothing more can be said
the remark that you can place
to find behind into the future

forever laid to rest, keeping
with ourselves and knowing the rules
whatever can be sent

something we've left off
distances coming to meet you
growing inside of what we have
to meet the method come again
we never thought the cause

laid to prevent something worse from happening
that we could have stayed
trying to find for the new sound
something around what we claimed
left behind for the future
what we had projected
could have been taken
on into the future,
what we knew,
found us what we keep
our founding fathers lain
keeping with the trust
and the people surrounding
the fact

Silas,
Your poetry is astounding! Very clever, and terrific use of philosophical imagery. Should you choose not to self-publish, I would suggest you find a publisher.
