all a dream
coming and going on open roads
only you would see
what lay before you
on the shocks, the comeuppance,
the limits and lack of understanding
forgetting tommorow and just letting
things slide
only you would have known
only side would have seen
what we wanted mostly now gone
far-reaching possibility
and understanding
emptying out yourself
